When Dallas Hensley was hunting for a new career, he turned for advice to an old friend from his Navy days.

The friend suggested Hensley find a way to turn his love of woodworking into a way to make a decent living.

So in March 2009, Hensley bought a Furniture Medic franchise from Memphis-based ServiceMaster.

It was natural move for Hensley, who'd done woodworking on the side for 30 years. Growing up, Hensley spent time with his grandfather, who worked with wood.
